Non-Union Virtual Open Call for Middle Tennessee Locals

Due to overwhelming demand for our in-person audition slots, we are pleased to announce our Non-Union Virtual Open Call for our 2025-2026 season. This open call is for actors who are non-union and local to Middle Tennessee.

Details:

  • Virtual Open Call: April 17 - May 9, 2025.

  • In-Person Auditions: Due to the high volume of interest, those who are selected after the virtual call will be invited to attend in-person auditions on May 24th and 25th.

How to Submit:

  • Be sure to include:

    • Headshot and Resume, preferably in PDF format.

    • A private youtube link of your audition video.

      • Video can include: One 16 bar cut of a song and a one minute monologue, or two contrasting one minute monologues.

      • In your slate please state your name, location, and level of dance ability.

  • ROBERT RENFIELD, (30-50, Male) A lunatic of unique appetites and an unfortunate sense of humor. Requires a British dialect.

  • MINA GRANT, (25-30, Female) A beautiful undead woman. We see her in various stages of vampirism. Former fiance to Thomas. 

  • MARGARET SULLIVAN, (35-40, Female) Dr. Seward’s loyal assistant. Tries to conceal her working class roots with an air of propriety. Requires an Irish dialect.

  • ABRAM VAN HELSING, (45-60, Open Gender) an older doctor, still in good physical condition, with a razor mind and an intense interest in the supernatural. Requires a German dialect.

  • DR. THOMAS SEWARD, (30-40, Male) an intelligent, fine young Englishman. The former fiancé of the late Mina Grant. A deeply caring, vulnerable human being. Requires a British dialect.

  • COUNT DRACULA, (40-50, Male) A brute who revels in the pain and suffering he brings to others. Manipulative, capable of enormous charm and courtly manners when such affectations are called for.

  • NORBERT BRIGGS, (35-45, Male) an attendant at the asylum. A rough man, not entirely a brute, but capable of violent behavior when pushed to it. Requires a Cockney dialect.

  • LUCY WESTPHAL, (25-30, Female) A lovely young Englishwoman. Extremely intelligent, and when not being drained of blood on a regular basis, quite vivacious. Requires a British dialect.

  • JONATHAN HARKER, (25-35, Male) A young solicitor. Handsome, impetuous, madly in love with Lucy. Requires a British dialect.

  • THE BRIDES, (20-40, Female and Male) Three Vampires with dire purposes.

White Christmas

First Rehearsal: November 17, 2025
Opening: December 4, 2025

  • BOB WALLACE, (35-45, Male) A major singing star, Bob is the guiding force behind the song and dance team of Wallace and Davis. Despite occasional gruffness, he is a deeply kind and principled man who is searching for true love. Baritone.

  • PHIL DAVIS, (35-40, Male) The fun-loving song-and-dance partner of the team Wallace and Davis. THIS ROLE IS ALREADY CAST

  • BETTY HAYNES, (30-35, Female) Sensible, responsible half of the Haynes sisters. Classic elegance with charm. Has a rich chest mix and soprano extension. Must move well.

  • JUDY HAYNES, (30-35, Female) Younger, more ambitious and slightly scheming Haynes sister. THIS ROLE IS ALREADY CAST.

  • GENERAL WAVERLY, (50-65, Male) Retired Army general with a curmudgeonly exterior, adjusting to retired life in post WWII America. Precise and orderly, a man of integrity.

  • MARTHA WATSON, (40-55, Female) Once a Broadway star, now the General’s housekeeper. Very dry wit and frank with a wisecracking sense of humor. Strong singer and mover, mezzo belter.

  • SUSAN WAVERLY, (young girl 10-12), The General’s granddaughter. Lovable and outgoing. Strong belt voice, must move well.

  • RALPH SHELDRAKE, (35-50, Male) Jokester Army buddy of Bob and Phil’s, now a major television executive. Fast talking, loud, brash New York professional with a good head on his shoulders.

  • RITA, (25-30, Female) Co-star showgirl to Bob and Phil. Flirty and fun. Strong tap and jazz dancer.

  • RHODA, (25-30, Female) Co-star showgirl to Bob and Phil. Flirty and fun. Strong tap and jazz dancer.

  • MIKE, (30-45, Male) Bob and Phil’s Stage Manager. Can be overly dramatic and often hysterical, but gets the job done. THIS ROLE IS ALREADY CAST.

  • ENSEMBLE (25-40, Male and Female), Strong tap and jazz dancers to cover multiple roles.

  • SIDNEY BRUHL (45-60, Male) Polished, dashing, devious, and clever. He thinks he’s the smartest man in the room and wants people to know it. He is “on” even when at home.

  • CLIFF ANDERSON (20-30, Male) A student, boyish and handsome at the same time; he is very clever but hides behind a fake innocence. 

  • MYRA BRUHL (40-60, Female) Sophisticated but embraces the country life. Can be nervous and emotional, but supports Sidney’s career.

  • HELGA TEN DORP (45-65, Female) A famous psychic, wild, unique, and in and out of this world. Requires a Dutch dialect.

  • PROCTOR MILGRAM (30-45, Male) Professional and observant colleague of Sidney’s. 

Boeing Boeing

  • BERNARD, (30-45, Male) An American playboy living in Paris, Bernard is happily engaged to three different women, none of whom know about the others.

  • GLORIA, (30-40, Female) An American airline stewardess, Gloria is engaged to Bernard. She is a go-getter, clever, and works for TWA.

  • GABRIELLA, (30-40, Female) An Italian airline stewardess, Gabriella is also engaged to Bernard. She is passionate, feisty, and works for Alitalia.

  • GRETCHEN, (30-40, Female) A German airline stewardess, Gretchen is also engaged to Bernard. She is strong, confident, and works for Lufthansa.

  • BERTHE, (35-60, Female) Bernard’s French housekeeper, Berthe is exasperated by Bernard’s antics. 

  • ROBERT, (30-45, Male) An old time friend of Bernard’s from Wisconsin, Robert shows up unexpectedly at Bernard’s Paris home.

Jesus Christ Superstar

First Rehearsal: April 20, 2026
Opening: May 7, 2026
Closing: May 24, 2026

  • JESUS CHRIST, (30-40, Male) Rock Tenor, Title role, leader of the twelve apostles, called the "Son of God" and the "King of the Jews." THIS ROLE IS ALREADY CAST. 

  • JUDAS, (20-40, Male) Rock Tenor, One of the twelve apostles of Jesus; concerned for the poor and the consequences of Jesus's fame. 

  • MARY MAGDALENE, (30-40, Female) Mezzo Soprano, A prostitute and follower of Jesus who finds herself falling in love with him. 

  • PONTIUS PILATE, (35-50, Male) Baritenor, Governor of Judea who foresees the events of Jesus' crucifixion from beginning to aftermath in a dream and finds himself being presented with that very situation. 

  • CAIAPHAS (40-50, Male) Low Bass, One of the main antagonists of the show. High priest who sees Jesus as a threat to the nation. He fears losing his power to Jesus.

  • ANNAS (25-40, Male or Female) High Tenor/Countertenor/Soprano,  One of the main antagonists of the show. Fellow priest at the side of Caiaphas who is persuaded into seeing Jesus as a threat. Annas can be more conniving than Caiaphas. 

  • PETER, (25-35, Male) High Baritone/Baritenor, One of the twelve apostles; denies Jesus three times to save himself.

  • SIMON, (20-30, Male) High Tenor/Baritenor, One of the twelve apostles; urges Jesus to lead his followers into battle against the Romans. Simon is under the belief that violence can solve all of their problems. 

  • KING HEROD, (40-50, Male or Female) Baritenor/Alto, The over the top King of Galilee; Jesus is brought to him for judgment after first being taken to Pilate. 

  • ENSEMBLE (20-65, Male and Female) The ensemble will cover Apostles, Soul Girls, buyers and sellers in the temple, lepers/untouchables, priests, mob, and Herod's harem. Looking for strong singers and movers.
